Summary

CatCraft plays like vanilla Minecraft, with a few extra tools that make everyday things easier, like sending items to friends, trading safely, sitting on stairs and more. This page lists them in short sections.

Sending items with ItemBox

ItemBox lets you send an item to any player, even if they’re offline. It arrives in their ItemBox, and they’re told about it when they next join.

  • Hold the item and type /itembox send [player]. Type the name exactly, including capital letters.
  • After sending, you have a short window to change your mind. Click [UNDO] in chat or type /itembox undo. The window is 15 seconds on Java and 30 seconds on Bedrock, and you can pick your own with /itembox undotime.
  • If someone keeps sending you items you don’t want, type /itembox ban [player].
Command What it does
/itembox send [player] Send the item you’re holding to a player.
/itembox open Open your ItemBox to collect items sent to you.
/itembox claimall Collect everything in your ItemBox. Items that don’t fit drop on the ground.
/itembox undo Undo the item you just sent.
/itembox undotime [time] Choose how long you have to undo a send, from instant, 5s, 15s, 30s, 1m or default.
/itembox ban [player] Stop a player from sending you items.
/itembox unban [player] Let a player send you items again.

Trading with /trade

/trade [player] opens a secure trade window with another player. Both of you put in your items, and the trade only goes through when you both accept, so nobody can take the items and run. You can also add diamonds from your diamond bank balance, and you can trade with players in other worlds.

Locking chests

Place a sign on a chest, barrel or other container to lock it. Only you can open it, even if other players are trusted in your claim.

  • To let a friend open it, right-click the sign and type /blocklocker 3 [player]. Add a second friend with /blocklocker 4 [player].
  • To let hoppers take items out of a locked container, add [Redstone] to one of the sign’s lines.

Drop protection

Most custom and crate items need to be dropped twice before they leave your inventory, so you can’t throw them away by accident. Drop the item, then drop it again within 5 seconds. Type /toggledrops to turn this on or off for yourself.

Players with the Jaguar rank and above can use /disposal, a portable bin. It won’t take valuable items such as netherite gear, diamonds, shulker boxes, elytras or tridents, and gives them back to you.

Sit, lay and crawl

Command What it does
/sit Sit down.
/lay Lay down on your back.
/crawl Crawl on your stomach.

Sneak to stand up again.

Armour stands

Hold a piece of flint and right-click to open the armour stand editor. Choose what you want to change, such as a head, arm or leg pose, rotation or size, then click an armour stand while holding the flint to adjust it. You can also make armour stands invisible.

Invisible item frames

Command What it does
/itf toggle Make the item frame you’re looking at invisible or visible.
/itf togglemode Turn on a mode where every item frame you right-click switches between invisible and visible.
/itf scan [radius] Show particles at item frames near you, so you can find invisible ones.

Type /bannermaker (or /bm) to design a banner in a menu, layer by layer.

Phantoms

Phantoms are off by default on CatCraft. If you want to fight them, for example to collect phantom membranes, type /phantoms toggle to turn them on for yourself. Like vanilla, they only come after you’ve gone a few nights without sleeping. Type it again to turn them off.

PvP

PvP is off for everyone by default, outside the PvP world. Type /pvptoggle to turn it on or off for yourself. Two players can only fight if both have PvP on.

Tree chopping

Chopping the bottom of a tree with an axe fells the whole tree. Sneak while chopping to break a single log, or type /treechop to turn it off.

Teleport and chat settings

Command What it does
/tptoggle Block or allow teleport requests from other players.
/pmtoggle Turn private messages on or off.
/ignore [player] Ignore all messages from a player. Run it again to unignore them.
/togglechat Show or hide chat.
/chatsettings Open your chat settings.
/afk Let others know you’re away.

See the Commands page for everything else you can type.
