Summary

A clan is a group of friends who play together. Clans get their own private chat, a shared clan home, member ranks, and an easy way to trust everyone in your claims. Clans are optional, and survival plays the same whether you’re in one or not.

Type /clan in game to see every clan command.

Creating a clan

Type /clan create [clan name] to start your own clan. You become its Leader.

  • Names. A clan name is 3 to 10 characters long and can only use letters and numbers.
  • Cost. Creating a clan costs diamonds from your diamond bank balance (check it with /balance). The price can differ between realms. On some realms other clan commands also cost diamonds, and you type /clan confirm to pay.
  • Renaming. Co-Leaders and Leaders can rename the clan with /clan rename [clan name], once every 5 minutes.

Inviting and joining

You join a clan when someone in it invites you. There’s no way to join a clan without an invite.

  1. A clan Elder, Co-Leader or Leader types /clan invite [player].
  2. The invited player types /clan accept within 20 seconds. They can type /clan deny to say no.

To leave your clan, type /clan leave. If the Leader leaves, another member becomes the new Leader, so the clan carries on.

To see who’s in a clan, type /clan info [clan name]. To see a list of clans, type /clan list.

Clan chat

Clan chat is private to your clan.

  • One message. Type /c [message] to send a single message to your clan.
  • Switch chats. Type /clan chat to switch all your messages to clan chat. Type it again to go back to normal chat.

You also get a message when a clanmate logs in or out.

Clan home

Each clan can have one shared home.

  • Setting it. A Co-Leader or Leader stands where they want the home and types /clan sethome.
  • Going there. Any member can type /clan home. You teleport after 2 seconds. If you move or get hit before then, the teleport is cancelled.

Ranks and managing members

Every clan has four ranks.

Rank What they can do
Member Use clan chat, go to the clan home, set the description and message of the day, and share claims.
Elder Everything a Member can do, plus invite and kick players.
Co-Leader Everything, including setting the clan home, renaming the clan and changing ranks.
Leader Everything. Each clan has one Leader.
  • Changing ranks. Type /clan rank [player] [rank].
  • Kicking. Type /clan kick [player] to remove someone from your clan.

Other features

  • Description. Type /clan desc [text] to give your clan a short description, up to 16 characters. It shows in /clan info.
  • Message of the day. Type /clan motd [text] to set a message of up to 100 characters. Clan members see it when they log in.
  • Sharing claims. Stand in a claim you own and type /clan claim with trust, container, access or manager to give every clan member that trust level at once. Type /clan claim remove to take it away again. See Claims for what each trust level allows.
  • Friendly fire. A Co-Leader or Leader can type /clan protection on to stop clan members hurting each other in PvP. Type /clan protection off to allow it again.
