==Claiming Land Information==

*Selling in-game items to other members on the server with real-life money will result in a server ban.
Claiming your land is essential to prevent unwanted visitors from building or taking things from your base. Claims are a square region of land, that prevent other players from breaking, building, slaying mobs or interacting with anything inside the protected region. All players receive ''''100 claiming blocks for every hour'''' from actively playing on Catcraft. There is a soft limit of 50k claim blocks from actively playing on the server. Bonus claim blocks can be gained from vote crates, cat crates, and from the server web store.

*All enchanted or non-enchanted gear must sell for the minimum raw materials cost. For instance, a diamond chest plate that is enchanted must sell for at least eight diamonds. Please also see the '''restricted items list.'''

*'''Everyone on the server is allowed to own ONE shop.''' You may be a part of three different members' shops, allowing a total of four shops you can associate yourself with. Using alt accounts to purchase more shops is strictly prohibited.
Typing '''/kit claim''' will give you a golden shovel and stick, which will be used for claiming & checking land claims.

*Before selling any items/blocks in your market stall, ensure you abide by the minimum diamond costs for '''restricted items.'''
# To start claiming, hold onto your golden shovel in your main hand, and right-click on the ground for where you want your first corner of your claim to be.
# Continue holding onto the golden shovel, as you walk across to the second corner of your claim, and right-click the ground.
# You can also claim land by typing '''/claim [blocks]'''
# The size you input will correspond to the number of blocks from your current position to the new border of the claim.

*'''Shop hogging, monopolising of shop spaces, and using shops as storage spaces rather than for its intended marketplace purposes is not permitted.'''

==Sponsored Listings==

A sponsored listing will allow you to advertise your market stall onto a single sign-on the billboard at spawnpoint of /market for 6 days.
==Viewing Claims==

The top 5 listings can choose their color of choice for their sign.
Right-clicking the stick on blocks or distant land, will tell you whether that region has been claimed by someone else. The Gold blocks and glowstone shows the borders of the claim. Any subclaims are temporarly shown as iron blocks and wool.

Bidding starts on the start of every week and ends within 24 hours.
Hold sneak + right-click to see all nearby claims.

There are 14 sponsored listings available (All listings reset at the end of the week).
==Subdividing Claims==
The starting bid begins at 10 diamonds
Subdividing claims is helpful if you want to split your large claim, into smaller individual claims, and allow trusted players to build within those claims, without having permission to interact with your large claim.

If you would like to bid, simply write how many diamonds you are offering and your player IGN
For example, you have a town, and you want to allocate members of your town to plots in your town, without allowing them to build/break blocks outside their allocated plot of land, subdividing your large claim allows can achieve this.
in the #market-chat discord channel.

[[File:sponsored_listing.png|center]]
'''Please note, if you trust a player in your main claim, then they will also have trust in your subclaims. Players trusted in Subclaims inherit trust levels. You can have more trust in a subclaim, but not less.'''

===Sponsored Listing Rules===
*Subclaims do not take up claiming blocks.
*One Listing per player.
*Subclaims are marked out using iron and wool blocks.
*If you win a listing spot, you must pay the required diamonds and the description of what you would like to write on the listing within 24 hours.
*Only the owner of the main claim, is able to create subdivided claims.
*The description must fit on to a minecraft sign and must be appropriate (i.e. only for your shop. Another player can not bid for your shop).
*Players trusted in Sub-claims inherit trust from the main claim. You can have more trust in a subclaim, but not less.
*Payment can be sent through the command /itembox send Dare_Run
*All diamonds must be renamed with your PlayerIGN to prevent issues.

Breaking any of the rules above may prohibit you from future participation to the sponsored listings.

# Place a barrel in your shop (if you haven't already)
# While crouching, place a sign down
# Write on the first line: [Trade]
# Hold the item/block you want to sell, and type /ts addproduct amount 5. Hold diamonds (or if you sell diamonds for something else, that item/block) and type /ts addcost price
# Place the items/blocks you are planning on selling into the chest shop. The sign will automatically change to 'Open' if the execution was successful. If the shop shows as closed
#* Check to ensure the correct items are stocked.
#* Type the command /ts open while looking at the sign.
Tip: If your chest shop gives a [Trade] with red text on the first line error, place the chest one block behind.
Alternatively you can do [bitrade] to sell and buy the cost and product in the same trade shop. E.g you can set the product to 32 gold and the cost 1 diamond and than a player can buy the diamond and sell the gold by left clicking or buy the gold with a diamond by right clicking

To find a specific custom head, search the database using the command '''/heads search [category]'''
==Storefront Design==
All shop owners with leopard rank and above may request a custom-heads title for their storefront. If you would like to request to place custom heads on your store's front, create a support ticket on the discord server by typing the command -new in #staff-help channel.
In the support ticket, let us know:
*Your player IGN
*Your market shop ID
'''Note:''' Custom-heads service-fees are '''one diamond per custom head''' placed. All heads must be provided by the market stall owner. Please place your custom-heads and diamonds inside a chest at the front of your store, before making the ticket. =How to become a successful seller in the market=
The CatCraft Player-Market thrives off player-to-player trading. Becoming a profitable shop owner when starting can be difficult. However, there are numerous tips and tricks that you can apply to maximize your passive diamond income and become a reputable market seller.
This official guide will go through every viable medium to become a successful trader on CatCraft!

===Steps===
===Steps===
#Structuring, designing, and decorating your market stall.
#Choosing what items/blocks to sell.
#Tips on advertising and bringing awareness.
#...
#Profit
==Structuring, designing and decorating==
To begin, you'll want to decide what kind of shop you would like to create.
Would you like to develop a...
*Supplier shop (That sell drops you collect from hostile and passive mob-farms).
*Commons Shop (That sells sand, dirt, grass blocks, stone, cobblestone, terracotta, wool, and other essential building blocks).
*Enchanters Shop (That sells enchanting books, enchanted gear, and other rare items).
*Crop Shop (That sells wheat, carrots, pumpkins, potatoes, sweet berries, beetroots, bamboo, sugar-cane, and mushrooms).
*Nether Shop (That sells items/blocks that are exclusively found in the nether, i.e., wither skulls, piglin trade goods, etc.)
*End-Void Shop (That sells items/blocks that are exclusively found in the end, i.e., purpur blocks, elytra's, dragon-heads and shulkers, etc.).
*Florist (That sells flower pots and different kinds of flowers)
*Banner Shop (That sells pre-made and custom-designed banners with single/double/triple variations).
*Commerical supplies shop (That sells drops from guardian, blaze, wither-skeleton, drowned and pillager farms).
*Zoo Shop (That sells mob spawn eggs and pet-food)
*Music Shop (That sells music discs, jukeboxes, and note blocks)
*Redstone Shop (That sells Redstone-related items)
*Precious Ore Shop (That sells gold, emeralds, coal, and lapis).
*Unique Items Shop (That sells items that require crafting or smelting), such as lanterns, glazed terracotta, bricks, and kelp blocks).
*Witchcraft Shop (That sells all sorts of potions and brewing materials).
==Choosing what items/blocks to sell==
Next, you'll want to decide whether to offer services to other members on CatCraft in exchange for diamonds. For instance, helping out with large project builds, farms and fixing Redstone contraptions. If you plan to offer services, let the other members know how to contact you by leaving your player IGN. Members can mail you with the /mail command to let you know if they're interested in meeting for your service.
If you're planning on creating a shop that aims for a high-profit with quick profits, then creating a shop that sells only trending items/blocks could be a good alternative.
Here is a list of items/blocks that are currently in high-demand:
*Wool
*Sand
*Stone
*Bricks
*Different variants of quartz blocks.
*Elytra's
*Enchanted Books
*Netherite items
==Tips on advertising and bringing awareness==
Advertising your shop is a great way to increase diamond profits and bring awareness of your store to other members on CatCraft. The best way to advertise is through the #market-chat channel on the CatCraft discord server. You can also join the in-game market chat, by typing /channel market . To leave the market chat, type /g

#Hold your golden shovel and type '''/subdivideclaim''' to enter subdivision claim mode.
#Right-click at one corner of the area you want to be subdivided and again at the opposite corner (The same method as making a new claim).
#You're done! The new area will be outlined using iron and wool blocks. To return to normal claim mode, use '''/basicclaims'''

===Location===
==Claim Permissions==

Those who have not purchased their first market stall or are planning on re-locating to a new market stall, should consider purchasing a market stall as close to the center point of the market. Shops close to the market center have increased traffic and a greater chance of sales.
*To give a player permission to use your buttons, levers, and beds. Use '''/accesstrust [Player]'''
*To give a player permission to use your buttons, levers, beds, crafting gear, containers, and animals. Use '''/containertrust [Player]'''
*To give another player permission to edit in your claim. Use '''/trust [Player]'''

'''Are crate reward items allowed to be sold? I.e., CatGod tools, gear, and weapons?'''
==Claim Removal Guidelines==
Our overarching principle is to preserve the integrity and historical value of players' builds on our server. As such, the removal of claims is generally not permitted. However, we recognize that certain circumstances might necessitate an exception.

Yes.
The following conditions may warrant consideration for claim removal, although the final decision rests in the hands of our senior staff:

*Minimal Progress: A claim may be considered for removal if it shows little to no progress. This refers to claims devoid of player-placed blocks, builds, containers, etc. Smaller claims in this category are more likely to be eligible for removal.
*Recent Claims in Proximity: If a claim was established within the past two weeks and is situated within 100 claims of your own (which were originally made well in advance).

'''If I sell back my store, do I receive my diamonds back?'''
Remember, these are guidelines and not guarantees. Each case will be assessed individually, and the final decision will always be at the discretion of our senior staff.

Once you have bought a store, you can not receive those 45 diamonds back. The goal is to pay off your store by selling items/blocks. Buying a market stall is a good investment.
==Mob Cap Limits==
On CatCraft we keep the mob-spawning mechanics as close to vanilla as possible while still maintaining a smooth and fun experience. Here is a list of useful notes for mobs on CatCraft.

*We do not place any individual mob spawning limits, however, there are individual mob caps that apply per player (not server-wide), so a single big farm on the server is not taking all the mob spawning and to prevent laggy farms.
*Phantoms do not spawn, however, all other mobs in vanilla Minecraft will spawn.
*Mobs spawned from spawners will not have AI but they still have water physics enabled to allow spawner-based farms to work. This allows everyone to create huge spawner farms, without putting any strain on the server to cause lag.
*There is a strict 3 axolotl per chunk.

==Troubleshooting Villager-based Farms==
Villagers in Minecraft put a lot of strain on server performance due to their complex pathfinding and AI. To help with this, we use a feature that enables players to create large trading halls without affecting performance by disabling the villagers' pathfinding (movement). This allows the villagers to refresh their trades while keeping the server running smoothly during busy times.

'''When will my shop be terminated?'''
===Villager Breeders & Iron Golem farm Troubleshooting===
When building a villager breeder or iron golem farm, it's important to remember that these farms require the villagers to pathfind (move). To ensure your farm works correctly, please give the villagers enough space to move around, so the server recognizes them as part of the farm and not a trading hall.

An Admin will reset your shop if you do not log onto the server for 31 days. You will receive a notification from a staff member through the in-game mail system three days before removal. Check your mail using the command /mail read
Iron Golem farms require villagers to alternate between scared and unscared states in order to sleep and reset internal timers. Recent optimizations to shapes and hitboxes in PaperMC server software have made some farms non-functional. The constant presence of zombies causes villagers to remain scared and unable to reset their internal timers.

Note: If you cannot join the server within 31 days, please contact the staff through a discord server support ticket.
To address this issue, it is important to design the farm with sufficient time for villagers to switch between scared and unscared states. An example of a working design can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMD4KlXdkqs

*Right-clicking a container using a sign will lock the contents.

'''I'm still having trouble with my shop!'''
*To give your friend access to the locked chest, use the command '''/blocklocker 3 [username] while looking at the sign.'''

Contact online staff by typing the command '''/helpop [yourMessage]''', and an online staff member will be with you shortly. If there is no online staff available, create a support ticket on the discord server with -new in the #staff-help channel.
*To add a second friend, simply do '''/blocklocker 4 [username]'''
